Studied with Simon Barker, Ken Edie, Paul Hudson, Alan Cumberland and David Montgomery in Australia. A former QUT and QLD Young Conservatorium lecturer, he currently lectures in Jazz Drums at the Queensland Conservatorium and percussion at Marist College Ashgrove in Brisbane. The co-founder of the online music publisher “Prepared Sounds”, John has received several commissions for percussion works and his pieces have been performed around the world.
